Flute Concert

(April 15th, 2004)

On April 15th, 2004, thanks to the efforts of Amish Singh (International Student Umbrella Vice President and HSC Public Relations) and our Advisor Dr. Beth Bullard, we were able to host a flute concert by the word-renowned “Flute Mala”. The stage, music and ambience was one of pure serenity and thanks to the amazing sound of Smt. Mala, we were able to cap-off International Week 2004 in perfection!

Holi 2004

(March 6th, 2004)

Held in the Basketball Court behind Commonwealth Hall, it was the first time that Holi had been organized at GMU. We had the Regional Coordinators for HSC, Ravi Raghvan and Pratyaksh Pai, a University of Maryland Baltimore County student and recent addition to the Regional teamcome for our event. We were also pleased to have four HSC students from North Carolina State University come to the event!
Celebrated in the true traditional way, with colors, water, food and music, it felt like we’re playing Holi in India!! The whole afternoon, everyone thoroughly enjoyed smothering each other with colors and water and dancing to the typical holi songs!! Congrats to everyone for making the event more than exciting and let’s do it again next year!
