Quote
Knowledge is superior to practice. Meditation surpasses knowledge. As compared with meditation, renunciation of the results of actions excels. From renunciation, peace follows immediately.

If Universities exist so that students can enrich their mind, the Hindu Student Council exists so that they can also enrich their soul.
The purpose of the Hindu Student Council at George Mason University is to educate students about the values of Hinduism and its beliefs. It allows students to experience and celebrate Hindu holidays and culture in a relaxed family environment. The idea is to initiate the learning of Hinduism by sparking an interest in students at GMU, the goal is to inculcate the importance of experiential learning of Hinduism in a setting that is already conducive to education, and the hope is that young students will realize the wealth that Hinduism has to offer for their daily lives, and how enriching religion and culture can be for their future.
This organization is not only restricted to those who are Hindus but is open to all cultures and religions. Help us create awareness of India's richness through participating in our events - we're always open to new ideas and new ways to expand our understanding of the way of life we call - Hinduism.
